RADIOTHERAPY
Radiotherapy is a loco-regional treatment of cancers. It consists of using radiation to destroy cancer cells by blocking their ability to multiply.
Radiation is intended to destroy cancer cells while preserving healthy tissue and surrounding organs as far as possible.
More than half of cancer patients are treated with radiation therapy at some stage of their care.
