PLURIDISCIPLINARY CONSULTATION MEETINGS (PCM)
«Multidisciplinary consultation meetings are for the purpose of pooling the knowledge of various professionals and for each patient to develop a collective therapeutic programme in order to achieve optimal efficiency.»
At the beginning of care and at any important stage of the illness, patients’ cases are discussed at the PCM and a Personalized Care Program is established and formalised: treatment dates, their duration, the various members of the nursing team and associations of help and support that the patient can contact.
As part of the CAL-CHU Joint Medical Oncology Project, PCMs are organized regularly and involve practitioners from different specialties in order to organize the multidisciplinary care of patients.
For each type of cancer, the PCM is the coordinating body of the patient’s care, and treatment decisions. You have the possibility of presenting your patient’s file or having it presented by the physician in charge of the PCM. He should be contacted and sent the patient’s file.

The setting up of a molecular CPR is part of the so-called precision medicine approach. It is a scientific priority for the Center in line with Cancer Plan 3 and the objectives of UNICANCER.
There is considerable demand from the patient / medical community for such CPRs to enable prescription of new treatments that are not routinely available.
The objectives of the molecular NMR of Nice are:
. Screening for mutations with the techniques available in the laboratories of PACA cancer molecular genetic hospital. Treat patients where actionable mutation has been highlighted:
– by available molecules (in clinical trials, not yet authorised)
– by referring the patient to a team with suitable therapy under development.
To do this, we collaborate with 3 departments: translational research, molecular analysis laboratory, clinical research for a systematization of patient care enrolled in molecular CPR with exhaustive analysis of quantitative and structural mutations or genetic rearrangements that can benefit from targeting.
The referring physician is informed of the conclusion of the CPR and any specific therapeutic proposals, and / or participation in an ongoing early phase trial in the area.
Note that when molecular biology analysis is requested for patients, they will be informed by their referring physician and they will be asked for their signed consent. A copy will be kept by the patient, the other copy will be scanned into the patient’s medical file and the original kept by the medical assistant in charge of molecular CPR in the appropriate file.
The molecular CPR is held once a month on Tuesday at 11:00 at the University Institute of Face and Neck, Nice.
If you would like to have one of your patients’ files discussed in this CPR, you can contact:
